Pénurie à Delhi

On a beau s'extasier sur le miracle économique indien, il n'en demeure pas moins qu'il y a encore des pénuries, comme celle de tampons hygiéniques à Delhi ... je ne félicite pas Johnson & Johnson qui a le monopole de ce produit :

NEW DELHI: Tampons, the symbol of freedom of the modern woman, have been missing from the city for the past two to three months. On recieving complaints from angry women, TOI checked with several city chemists to discover that OB tamponsare not being supplied by Johnson & Johnson, which holds a monopoly over the product. 

Said Sushil Gupta of 3G Chemist in Defence Colony said, "For the past three months there has been no supply. We have exhausted our old stock." He said that women are now forced to buy sanitary napkins - something which has left many women exasperated. 

An inscensed blog entry captures the feeling thus: "I am furious at the chemist who suggested I buy pads instead - `ek hi to baat hai madam' - little will he know how similar they are when I stuff one up his nose!" Kavita, 25, was less angry and more resourceful - she has asked her friend in Bangalore to courier tampons: "I have always used tampons. I don't know when will it be available ...
